A group of sixth form students from Wilmslow High School visited Westminster this week on a social studies trip.

Students studying Law and Philosophy visited the House of Commons and attended an education workshop. They also met with Shadow Chancellor and MP for Tatton George Osborne, who spent 20 minutes with them before Prime Minister's Questions.

The students had a Q&A session with George Osborne talking about issues such as "Is there a benefits culture?", "Farm subsidies" and "Immigration".

They then visited sights around Westminster including Middle Temple, one of the Inns of Court which barristers have to belong to, and they finished off their trip with a visit to the Old Bailey where the students observed part of a murder trial.
