Tom Orr, a junior player at Lindow Cricket Club and student at Wilmslow High School, was at Lord's this week representing Cheshire.

Having been crowned Lindow CC and Cheshire Cricket Young Volunteer of the Year, he was invited to London for cricket's national awards ceremony.

Representing club and county at the ECB Natwest OSCAs (OutStanding Contribution Awards), Tom was treated to a three course dinner, a tour of the ground and speeches from England players past and present.

Adam Bull, Lindow's Club Development Officer, said "Tom won this amazing experience as recognition for his all round volunteering efforts at Lindow, where he has helped to run junior coaching sessions, umpired senior matches and helped to run the club's very popular women's softball festivals. The feedback we've had from other attendees at the event was that he was an excellent ambassador for his club, school and county, which doesn't surprise me at all."

Tom was always destined to be better than good. Total commitment, total enthusiasm, total skills. (ps. He's not the only one either!)
