Girls do it for Haiti

WPS Haiti Skipathon

Never ones to shy away from fundraising activity, the girls at Wilmslow Prep are all pitching in to raise much needed funds for the Haiti Appeal.

Fundraising got off to a great start last week when the girls paid a donation for the privilege of enjoying a "home clothes" day. Georgina in Form 1 had baked flapjacks with her mother and these were on sale during break time.

Form 6 girls Hanna, Kate, Olivia, Beth and Emily did a sponsored Skipathon during the morning break, sponsored by their fellow pupils. Last week’s fundraising day raised an impressive £390.

Commenting Headmaster Paul Reynolds said: "We are absolutely delighted that the girls have taken the initiative to arrange events to raise funds for the Haiti Appeal. All of our pupils, their families and friends have been hugely supportive and for that we thank them."
