At the start of Libraries Week, Wilmslow Library will join hundreds of Fun Palaces nationally and internationally to host a selection of free and fun activities for all on Saturday, 6th October.

'Fun Palaces' is an annual festival held at various venues nationwide, which brings together local groups, businesses and individuals to engage with families and allow them to experience different crafts, skills and activities through demonstrations and workshops.

Wilmslow Library we have some great opportunities for all ages to enjoy, learn and play together from 10am to 1pm. Entrance is free and you could learn about historic textiles with Quarry Bank Mill, try your hand at signing, break a world record, discover a new instrument, give belly dancing a go, bring a story to life and follow the Wilmslow Art Trail.

Librarian Emily Morrey said "This Fun Palace was created by the people of Wilmslow; sharing and celebrating the skills of our community. Join us this weekend and master new skills from your neighbours, share hobbies with friends old and new, and celebrate the passions and enthusiasms of all of us."
