Morley Green Road to close for 3 days

Morley Green Road will be closed for three days to to enable Cheshire East Highways to carry out Grip Fibre, which makes the surface layer waterproof allowing more important maintenance and expensive operations to be postponed.

It is anticipated that the works will take place from Friday 14th September to Tuesday 18th September (excluding weekends) and again on Monday 24th September.

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained where possible.

Well hopefully it will happen this time - it was due to be closed on 3rd September for two days but that never happened and the signs are still there! Hopefully this new work will include the road surface at the junction with the A538 which has been left in a dreadful state since the last repair jobs were done a few weeks ago.
