Two new eating and drinking venues prepare to open

License applications have been submitted for two new venues in Wilmslow town centre.

Smoke Limited have applied for a license to sell alcohol from 8am to 12pm Sunday to Wednesday and 8am and 1am Thursday to Saturday.

The owners of The Cheshire Smokehouse, a family owned business which opened in Morley Green in 1907, have also applied for a license for the provision of late night refreshment between the hours of 11pm and 1am Thursday to Saturday and to play recorded music between the hours of 8am and midnight Sunday to Wednesday and 8am and 1am Thursday to Saturday.

Smoke cafe and wine bar is launching later this year and will be open seven days a week serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and evening snacks alongside a selection of wines, beers and spirits from both local small batch breweries and continential specialists.

Smoke will occupy the unit which was formerly home was formerly a wine bar and restaurant called Forty Four, prior to the White Stuff shop opening in November 2010, and will employ six full-time and six part-time members of staff.

Additionally, Shepherds Drinks Limited have applied for a license to sell alcohol from 9am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 9am to 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays at 2D Hawthorn Lane, which was previously occupied by Italianlab.

They have also applied for a license to show films from 10am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am to 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays and serve late night refreshments from 11-11.30pm Sunday to Thursday and 11pm to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Shepherds will be open to the public from 8am every day and close thirty minutes after they have stopped selling alcohol.

The plans for Shepherds include a bar and kitchen on the ground floor with a tasting room on the first floor and they will employ two full-time and four part-time members of staff.

Sounds good- smokehouse food is always high quality so hope they will use the same ingredients in the new restaurant.
