Travellers who set up camp on Council owned sports fields off Altrincham Road are still there ten days later.
Travellers arrived at the Jim Evison Playing Fields, in Wilmslow, overnight on Tuesday, 21st August, and officers from Cheshire East Council visited the following day to undertake a welfare check and start the legal process.
Since then one group of travellers has left the site however more caravans have now joined the second group.
A Cheshire East Council spokesperson said "Routine processes are taking place in terms of legal action if they do not agree to move on."
