Wilmslow Library is calling on local residents who have a creative passion which they would like to share with the town to join them for a community event later this year.

On the 6th October Wilmslow Library is taking part in Fun Palaces, which is an ongoing national campaign for culture at the heart of community, with an annual weekend of action – arts, science, craft, tech, digital, heritage and sports events activities – run by, for and with local communities.

They are currently looking for local makers and people with hidden talents, skills and interests to join in.

Librarian Emily Morrey said "Are you keen on science and an share your interest with others in a fun and exiting way? Are you handy with clay, fabric or paint?

"We are running a Fun Palace event which is for the community, by the community and we want to hear from you."

Emily added "We are looking to run a selection of workshops in the library on the 6th of October and need your help to do so. If there is something that you would love to share or teach please email us or alternatively pick up an application form from the library."
