Art in the City

Promotional Feature

Manchester is growing fast and its vibrant art and cultural scene is expanding too. Saul Hay Gallery opened in October 2016 in a beautiful Victorian building in the historic Castlefield area of city centre Manchester, a surprisingly peaceful spot in the heart of the busy city.

Saul Hay Gallery was born out of the passion of its art collector founders, Catherine and Ian Hay. Both had long careers in the commercial and public sectors, Catherine as a nurse and Ian as a systems analyst. Their longstanding commitment to the arts scene in Manchester and a desire to offer the very best contemporary art to Manchester art buyers drove them to open the gallery.

We believe there is a huge appetite for art in the North West. For so long the UK art market and many more aspects of life have been dominated by London but that seems to be shifting now and Manchester, firmly established as the second city, is poised to further increase its reputation as an international cultural centre.

Having become firmly established in the Manchester art scene we can offer insider access to some of the best of established and emerging fine artists in the region and beyond.

The Gallery exhibits regular curated shows of contemporary fine art with a particular emphasis on painting and sculpture.

Our customers are discerning and cultured and want to own unique, contemporary, high quality works of art of to enhance their homes.

Directors Catherine and Ian Hay offer a highly personalised service, as collectors themselves they have a deep understanding of the importance of finding work that you love and that speaks to you and we enjoy getting to know clients and understanding their tastes and needs.
