A man who was arrested by Cheshire Police following a number of shoplifting offences has been sentenced to six months in prison.
Kevin Ellis, 34, from Hurley Drive, Cheadle appeared at Crewe Magistrates on Wednesday, 13th June after being arrested and charged the previous day.
He admitted 19 offences – 17 separate theft offences at retail premises in Wilmslow and Handforth along with an assault and public order offence against members of staff who tried to challenge him.
The offences occurred between December 2017 and June 2018.
