Police release image of man they want to speak to after woman left shocked by racist comments

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with an incident in Wilmslow.

At around 10am on Sunday 22nd April a woman was subjected to xenophobic comments in Broad Walk.

Cheshire Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for help from the public.

Police Constable Caroline Wharmby said: "The incident left the victim shocked and upset.

"Enquiries are ongoing and I urge anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image or believes they may know who he is to get in touch as we believe that he may be able to help with our investigation.

"I would also like to appeal directly to the man in the CCTV image to come forward.

"Anyone with information should call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 43356, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
