The U13 team at Wilmslow Town Football Club are celebrating after finishing their season unbeaten.

The boys have been playing together since they were 8 years old and this has been their most successful season. In addition to winning their league, 5 points clear of their nearest rivals, to secure promotion into Division Two of the Timperley and District League they also won The La Liga Cup beating Urmston Meadowside Broncos 5-1 at Trafford FC's ground.

Additionally, despite numerous postponements due to weather conditions and the lack of all weather pitches, they scored a record number of 126 goals during the season.

Assistant Manager Tom Long said "Steve Lander (Manager) and I are immensely proud of the progress the team has made in the last 12 months, they have matured and grown to be a formidable outfit who are focused and determined to win.

"The confidence in their own abilities is now shining through and we hope and expect them to take this into next seasons challenges."
