Sterling Concert at Wilmslow Church

The latest in a series of lunchtime concerts will be held at Wilmslow United Reformed Church on Thursday, 24th May and will feature the Sterling Trio, originally formed at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2006.

The chamber ensemble comprising of flute, clarinet and piano complemented by bass clarinet, piccolo and alto flute plus and for this occasion they also have Elizabeth Bass with them as guest harpist.

The Sterling Trio will present a varied programme ranging from composers from early 19th century to the present day.

Derek Torrington said "With four musicians and seven instruments, it promises to be a sterling performance indeed!"

The concert will take place at Wilmslow United Reformed Church on Alderley Road commencing at 12 noon. Tickets, priced £5, are available from the Church office on weekday mornings, via 01625 532600 or on the door. Complimentary coffee will be served from 11.30am.
