A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a man who is wanted for questioning in connection with a serious assault.

Crimestoppers are offering a reward of up to £2,000 for information that leads to the arrest of Henry Thomas Henderson, 51, who is wanted in connection with a serious assault in Ryde on Isle of Wight, back in November 2016.

It is believed that Henderson, from Sandown, left the local area following the assault and travelled to Wilmslow in February 2017.

He is described as white, 5ft 11 inches tall and of a slim build. He has a Scottish accent and is believed to have short, straight dark brown hair.

Annabelle Goodenough, South Eastern Regional Manager at the charity Crimestoppers, said: "This attack has shocked the Isle of Wight community and left the victim requiring hospital treatment for his injuries. Everyone has a right to feel safe from crime and this type of assault is very distressing.

"Someone will know where Henry Henderson is and if that's you, we urge you to contact our charity and tell us what you know. You will remain 100% anonymous. Always. Please help keep our community safe. Nobody will ever know you spoke to us."

If you have any information on Henry Thomas Henderson contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through the non-traceable Anonymous Online Form.
