Plans to convert six bedroom house into apartments

A planning application has been submitted for the extension and conversion of a residential dwelling on Manchester Road to create apartments.

The proposal is to convert a large three storey, six bedroom property at 101 Manchester Road into self contained apartments.

The scheme includes demolishing a small section of a previous extension, extending the building to both the front and rear and extending part of the roof along with conversion of the dwelling into five apartments.

The apartments will each have two bedrooms, with a mixture of open plan and split living. Two parking spaces will be provided per apartment, with two spaces for visitor parking which will be located in a communal car park at the front of the building.

Access to the site is from Manchester Road and is a shared amongst three properties.

The plans can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 18/0257M. The last date for submitting comments is February 7th and a decision is expected by 13th March 2018.

There is also a current planning application being considered by the local planning authority for the construction of one new build dwelling in the grounds to 101 Manchester Road (planning application reference 17/6462M).

Ever increasing applications in Wilmslow without garages, just parking spaces.

Plus Terry this house has a "shared drive" with 2 other houses I believe. That shared drive will now be for potentially 12 vehicles plus the vehicles from the 2 other houses and visitors vehicles. There is also an application in to put another house on the site in addition to these apartments. Meanwhle the cycle lane on Manchester Road is unusable on this stretch because of the number of parked vehicles.

Garages? Are you serious?

12 vehicles?...the plot is substantial/large enough to accommodate this. In fact it was for sale for £1.6m! Much more sensible use of such a large plot on a very busy main road.

Alternatively ..... just keep keep the existing £1m+ property. Equally sensible! Zzzzzz
