Youngsters raise over £1000 for Poppy Appeal

Youngsters showed their support for the Wilmslow poppy Appeal on Saturday, 4th November, helping to raise over £1000.

Wilmslow guides, brownies and rainbows helped shoppers pack their bags in Waitrose collecting £622 whilst Dean Row guides were packing bags Sainsbury's where they raised £456.

Khumi Burton said "They were very enthusiastic and polite and they received good feedback from their customers and the staff."

The Air Cadets were also out in force on Saturday, but their money is in the process of being counted, and Tatton MP Esther McVey popped by and chatted to the helpers.

The Army cadets will be collecting in Wilmslow town centre again on Saturday, 11th November.
