A 24-year old man has been arrested for drug driving in Handforth and intent to supply.

Shortly before 1am on Wednesday, 18th October, the male was stopped whilst driving on Wilmslow Road in Handforth. He failed a drugs swipe and a subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of cannabis and a knife.

Sgt John O'Driscoll said "As a result the male was also arrested for possession with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon. He has since been interviewed and released under investigation."

The offender gave an address in Parrswood, though police think he had long since moved on and they attended a second address in Stockport.
