Plans for new licensed venue in town centre

DSCN3517

Lowe's Place Limited has applied to Cheshire East Council for a premises licence for Suburban Green, located at 4 Hawthorn Lane.

The application is to permit the sale of alcohol between 10am and 11pm Sunday to Thursday and between 10am and 1am Friday and Saturday.

Additionally, the applicant is applying for a licence to permit the provision of late night refreshment between 11pm and 11.30pm Sunday to Thursday and between 11pm and 1.30am Friday and Saturday.

In 2015 planning permission was granted for a change of use to A4 (drinking establishment) to enable a pub or bar to open at 4 Hawthorn Lane.

The premises have been empty since Honeysuckle Health Foods closed in 2014 - after trading in the town centre for over 20 years.

Wilmslow Town Council's Planning Committee discussed this application at their meeting on Monday, 9th October, and raised no objection.

The old sign revealed under the Honeysuckle sign said ‘the stocking shop’ not sure if this was before the funeral business. Both before my time.

@ Ray; certainly nothing traditional like the Pig and Whistle, Fox and Gusset or The Duke of Clarence... all modern eateries and drunkeries end in "ist". How about The Embalmist?

Company seems to be linked to Davinci’s Coffee House and Eatery in sunny Stockport. Looks good.

Not being pedantic, but, Wilmslow is not a suburb and has no suburbs. Maybe I am missing some clever irony?
