Smiles all round as little ones settle into big school

With the summer holidays now behind us, this week marked a big step for hundreds of little ones across Wilmslow, Handforth and Alderley Edge, and their families, as they embarked on a new adventure with their first day at school.

As the new term began they set off in their new uniforms with shiny shoes and big smiles to be greeted by their new teachers.

Mark Unwin, Headteacher at Wilmslow Grange Community Primary School, said "We are delighted to welcome our new reception class and their parents and carers to Wilmslow Grange and have been very impressed by how well they have settled in to their new school."

Clare Daniel, Headteacher at St Anne's Fulshaw said "Our new starters have really enjoyed their first week and have settled in so quickly, even joining the rest of the school for assembly this morning!

"We have also welcomed a number of other children into classes higher up the school who have also made a super start to their school careers with us."

Claire Harwood, reception teacher at Gorsey Bank Primary told wilmslow.co.uk "The children at Gorsey Bank have had a fantastic first week at school."
