The A538 was closed yesterday morning after a car was hit by a fallen tree whilst travelling towards Wilmslow.
Police closed the A538 in both directions at 5.50am then reopened the Wilmslow to Manchester Airport carriageway 20 minutes later.
The A538 at the airport tunnels was closed shortly afterwards so the tree could be removed.
Fortunately no one was injured.
