A 49-year-old male from Manchester was arrested in Styal at midday on Sunday, 13th August, on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.
The male has since been released under investigation whilst further enquiries are carried out.
A locked and unattended vehicle which was parked in the car park near Oak Cottages in Styal was broken into between 9am and 11am on Saturday, 12th August.
A duck egg blue clutch bag, containing a small amount of cash and mobile phone along with some personal photographs was stolen.
