2aug 17-4 copy2

Pete Taylor kindly sent us this photo which he shot in his garden in Fulshaw Park on Wednesday, 2nd August.

Pete said "We seem to have a vegetarian fox - it's quite happy to eat wind-fall plums and apples (I keep the Cumberland sausages for myself)!"

Hi Pete. Has Renard heard about the Local Plan and done a runner from the Green Belt?

I am saddened by the decrease in local foxes, badgers & hedgehogs. We used to get regular visits by foxes & hedgehogs & an occasional visit by badgers which thrilled me as a wildlife lover. We have not seen any for the last 2 years which is upsetting! Don't get caught by the hype that foxes kill dogs & cats, it's an absolute rarity. Modern fencing is too blame as there are no gaps for these lovely creatures to enter where I would happily feed them. If you don't want wildlife to grace your gardens may I suggest you move into the inner city where life is devoid of wildlife.
