MP declares New clubhouse officially open

opening

A local tennis club celebrated the official opening of their new clubhouse with an afternoon of competitions and Pimms on Sunday, 9th July.

Tatton MP Esther McVey cut the ribbon at Croftside Tennis Cub where members were joined by local residents to to mark the occasion.

Croftside Tennis Club was established in the 1930's. Its original pavilion, whilst full of character, was no longer fit for purpose or able to meet the growing needs of the club so, with funding from Sport England and the Lottery, a new clubhouse has been built.

Sarah West said "With the new facility and three artificial courts, the club is going from strength to strength with three men's teams, two ladies' teams and twelve junior teams all competing in local leagues."
