The show will go on whatever the weather

Volunteers have been working tirelessly to ensure that the 105th Wilmslow Show on Sunday, 9th July, is the best yet.

Last year's event was sadly cancelled due to the bad weather, so to avoid similar problems the 2017 Wilmslow Show will be taking place in its new home - the Carnival Field on Altrincham Road.

The decision to move the event was taken to ensure that rain will no longer be able to stop play, and as ever, Wilmslow's biggest community event promises to have something for everyone to enjoy.

Guests will be able to enjoy live music, floral displays, craft stalls and arena events. Illusionist Andrew Van Buren will also be entertaining the crowds who can also enjoy bungee trampolines, a climbing wall, Birds of Prey and Jema Leopold with her equestrian display.

The Cheshire Tortoise Group will also be on hand to answer any tortoise, terrapin or turtle related questions – you can meet them and their tortoises in the Horticultural marquee.

As ever there will be an array of classic cars to view, everyone can enjoy the funfair rides and the fun dog show will be making a welcome return.

The Arena will also have the Dog and Duck display and live music will be on the Bandstand all day from Lost in the Mist, the Siren Sounds Choir and the Biddulph Ukulele Group amongst others.

Frank McCarthy, Chairman of the Wilmslow Show Committee said, "We've arranged a great show this year, and we are delighted to be in our new location which means that, whatever the weather, the Wilmslow Show will go on! We look forward to seeing lots of Wilmslow residents and visitors on 9th July for what promises to be a great day out for all."

Tickets are available on the gate, or you can buy tickets in advance. Family tickets for 2 adults and up to 3 children under 16 years are available at the reduced rate of £10 (£12 on the gate).

There will be a free shuttle bus running to and from the show from 11am to 5pm. It will depart from Broadway Meadow (Leisure Centre), where there is free parking all day Sunday. If the car park there is full, then there will be additional parking available at Wilmslow High School.

If it rains, think Glastonbury, but without the music. We will be there come rain or shine, helping on the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People stand, together with a number of puppies in training.
See you there!
Caroline and Terry plus Daphne who loves any mud and water going, (that's her and not us).

Wilmslow Animal Sanctuary will also be there with lots of lovely prizes to be won on our tombola. Looking forward to seeing the puppies too!
