Firefighters were called to a fire in a detached house on Carrwood Road on Sunday, 18th June.

One fire engine from Wilmslow and one from Cheadle attended the incident just before 10am.

On arrival they found the ground floor was on fire. The crews used one hose reel to extinguish the flames and a large fan to remove smoke from the property.

There was no one in the property at the time, smoke alarms were fitted and neighbours apparently raised the alarm.
