Wilmslow welcomes Rockport

The Rockport Group has chosen Wilmslow town centre as the location for its flagship office for UK, Ireland and Europe taking 2,249 sq ft at Orbit Developments' property 11 Station Road.
Following acquisition by investment firm Berkshire Partners LLC and New Balance Holding, Inc. in 2015, The Rockport Group separated from previous parent company the Adidas Group which has its UK head office located in Stockport, South Manchester.

Rockport International approached Orbit Developments prior to the completion of 11 Station Road with a vision to design the office space fit out to complement their global headquarters in Massachusetts, US.

As 11 Station Road was completed to shell, the team at Rockport International were able to work with Orbit Developments to design a contemporary workspace which features a studio feel incorporating two private offices and two showrooms to display the latest men's and ladies' product lines to buyers.

Richard Mazzega-Ward, general manager for Rockport UK and Ireland commented on the new offices: "We needed to ensure our offices had easy access to multiple modes of transport and Wilmslow is perfectly placed with a mainline train station close the offices and Manchester Airport 10 minutes away via road.

"The location was key for our business as we'll regularly be travelling to our US office, welcoming international visitors or bringing in key buyers from London to view our latest collections."

The new build property was developed to shell by Orbit Developments in 2016 with the ground floor retail unit let to Greyfriars Carpets totalling 2,529 sq ft.

Senior Leasing Surveyor of Orbit Developments, Adam Jackson commented: "When I first met with Richard to discuss the property, he had some fantastic ideas for fitting out the space so this deal was very much about understanding the vision, the brief and building a relationship with Richard to deliver the project.
