Firefighters were called to a report of a fire off Station Road in Styal just after midnight.
When they arrived crews found that there was a caravan on fire. A hose reel jet was used to put the fire out.
A spokesperson said "It is believed that this fire was started deliberately. If you have any information that could help find those responsible please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or Cheshire Police on 101."
