Dog show raises funds for park improvements

The Friends of the Carrs held another successful fun dog show on Sunday, 14th May, which was helped by some lovely weather in the afternoon.

All ten classes of the Canine Capers event proved popular as did the new agility course with four legged and 2 legged competitors alike!

The annual event raised over £200 for Friends of the Carrs which will all be spent on making improvements to the town park.

Ruth Lees of Friends of the Carrs said "The teas and home made cakes did a roaring trade and the tombola was also very popular.

"Overall a good and enjoyable family atmosphere - a real community event."
