A little boy with a big heart is taking on his biggest challenge to date to help other children.

Six years old Joseph Hibbert from Handforth been raising money for children's hospitals since the age of three.

So far he has run 7 races for charity but in July he is swapping his running shoes for hiking boots and planning to climb Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the UK - which is a long way for his little legs.

His mum Shelley said "Joseph is still only 6 so this will be a huge accomplishment for him, however his trek up Ben Nevis is nothing compared to the mountains the children and parents have to climb at the children's hospital."

She added "Joseph really would like to inspire more children and we both feel this is possible with your help."

So far Joseph has raised over £5000 for charities and this year he is hoping to exceed £2000. If you would like to support Joseph's fundraising efforts donations can be made via his JustGiving page. All the money raised will go to Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Charity.
