Talent HR and Recruitment are now running MHFA England accredited Mental Health First Aid workplace courses as part of their continuing expansion. Talent's Managing Director, Katie Bancroft, recently completed the extensive gold standard Instructor training programme in response to the increasing need for understanding, and support, of mental health in the workplace.
Mental ill health costs UK employers an estimated £26 billion per year, which equates to an average of over £1,000 per employee. In 2013, 15.2 million days of sickness absence across the UK were caused by stress, anxiety and depression.
The 2 day comprehensive course considers the signs, symptoms and impacts of mental health, focusing on ways in which attendees can approach, assess and assist individuals who may be experiencing mental health issues. Sharing expertise on a wide range of issues from anxiety to depression to stress and many more, it also provides access to resources that offer support, enhancing a wider appreciation of workplace best practice.
