Appeal for information following two attempted burglaries

Police are appealing for witnesses following two attempted burglaries in the Wilmslow area on Tuesday, 7th March.

Offenders tried to gain entry to a property on Copperfields by smashing a glass panel in the rear conservatory doors between 5.15pm and 5.45pm.

Then two male offenders, aged in their late teens or early 20's, were seen trying to gain entry to the rear of a property on Chapel Lane between 7pm and 7.15pm.

Anyone with information that may be relevant to these two incidents is asked to contact the police on 101.

PCSO Gareth Harding said "Once again I remind you not to leave keys and valuables on show or leave windows open whilst you are out of the property and do not advertise when you are planning on going on holiday. An advertised empty house is an invitation for a burglary to occur."
