An award-winning children's performer will bring his brand new show to Handforth library this month.

Dominic Berry, known by his stage name Dommy B, will perform "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" at Handforth Library on Saturday 18th March at 3pm.

Adapted from Aesop's fable and featuring live music, this is Dommy B's fifth nationally touring show for children and families. He has also performed his rhymes on Channel 4 and the BBC, including the CBeebies show 'Rhyme Rocket'.

Speaking ahead of the show, Dommy B said: "It's been fantastic working with a team as experienced and skilful as Action Transport Theatre developing this show. Our team have been so motivated and inspired by sharing the early versions of the show during rehearsal time at schools around Greater Manchester."

He added: "So far children have loved it! There was one in particular that stood out for me. A young girl had a lot to say about how funny and exciting she'd found it all, much to the visible surprise of the other pupils. The teacher later told us the girl was incredibly shy and she had not once seen her so animated with so much to say in front of the whole class! That can be the power of theatre. Helping to bring people together. That's why this is the best job in the world!"

"The Boy Who Cried Wolf" forms part of Cheshire Rural Touring Arts' (CRTA) spring season of touring, taking professional arts events to village halls and libraries across the county.

Tickets, priced £5 for adults, £3 for under 16s or £14 for a family of four, can be booked by calling 01625 378272 or purchased online.
