The Wilmslow Branch of the British Heart Foundation marked Valentine's Day with its annual coffee morning.
The branch joined forces with Healthy Hearts, the Wilmslow fundraising group, to arrange this year's event which was held in the Wilmslow Park residence of Brian and Ann Stanford-Smith.
More than fifty attended to enjoy coffee or tea and indulge in a fine selection of cakes, biscuits and pastries baked by the branch's many helpers. The event raised just over four hundred pounds for the British Heart Foundation.
Brian and Ann Stanford-Smith. said "In addition to consuming the tempting refreshments, those attending were required to exercise their brains by answering a Valentine's Day Quiz followed by solving a puzzle story involving twenty words ending, like Valentine, with the letters T I N E. In addition there was the usual raffle with more than twenty prizes."
The event raised just over four hundred pounds for the British Heart Foundation.
