Burglars smash their way into two homes

Police are urging residents to be vigilant after two more homes were broken into this week.

A burglary occurred at Cobbetts Way, Wilmslow some time between the morning of Tuesday 10th and midday on Wednesday 11th January. The back door of the property was forced in order to gain entry.

A second burglary happened on Grasmere Road, Alderley Edge between midday on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th January. Offenders gained entry to the property by breaking a window.

Sgt Mark Durkin said "Forensic work is being carried out and we are hopeful that this will identify an offender in the near future. The burglaries are again a reminder for people to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police."
