Corrie Star visits panto rehearsal

A Coronation Street star called in to see young pantomime stars rehearsing for next month's production and wish them the best of luck.

Jane Danson, the award winning star who plays Leanne Battersby, visited Cheshire Youth Pantomime Society (CHYPS) as they prepare for Cinderella.

As their Ambassador, Jane is an enthusiastic supporter of CHYPS and going along to the show each year with her young family.

Jane said "I am very much looking forward to seeing this year's production of Cinderella. It really doesn't seem a whole year since last year's brilliant production of Peter Pan. Best of luck to all the cast and crew who I know have worked incredibly hard to deliver yet another great show!"

CHYPS Chairman Ian Hunt said "We take great pride in aiming for near professional standards with CHYPS pantos.

"The infectious energy and enthusiasm of our super-talented cast of local 11 to 19 year olds, the amazing skills and commitment of the production team and the dedication of dozens of volunteers all contribute to the spectacular success of our shows. It's teamwork at it's very best and we are very grateful for Jane's support, encouragement and praise."

CHYPS Cinderella will be performed at The Woodford Centre, Chester Road, Woodford, Stockport. SK7 1PS from January 3rd to January 7th 2017, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday.

Tickets can be booked online or by calling 07910 187583.
