With Bonfire Night fast approaching, Wilmslow Round Table are once again preparing to provide local residents with a grand bonfire and fireworks display at Carnival Field.

This year's event, which will take place on Saturday 5th November, includes a bonfire and children's firework display followed by the main fireworks display, which will see a five figure amount spent.

In addition, fairground rides will be available during the event along with a selection of refreshments, including Thai food, hot dogs, burgers, chips and fresh doughnuts as well as hot and cold drinks, including mulled wine. Sweets, toffees, popcorn, candy floss, cold drinks will also be available from the sweet tent.

With typically a large attendance, Wilmslow Round Table recommend as many people as possible make use of the free park and ride scheme, which will be operating from Broadway Meadow Car Park (adjacent to Wilmslow Leisure Centre). Buses will leave the car park at regular intervals during the evening, starting at 5.30pm and will drop off at Carnival Field. Buses will be available for the return journey until 9pm.

Gates will open at 5.30pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm. A no bangs firework display for small children will start at 7pm, before the main firework display starts at 7.30pm.

Advance tickets can be purchased online at cheaper prices until 11.59 on Friday, 4th November, after this time tickets can still be purchased online at the on the day prices. Advanced tickets are priced £7.50 for adults (£10 on the day), £4.50 for children (£6 on the day) or £20 for a family of two adults and two children ( £25 on the day). Under 3's are free.

Alternatively tickets can be bought locally from Candy n Cards Newsagents, Jackson's Supper Bar, Mark Roger's Shoe Repairs, Rainbow Balloons (Alderley Edge), Rick Green Cycles (Handforth) and Wood's Newsagents (Handforth).

The event is a major fundraiser for Wilmslow Round Table and as usual the proceeds for the event will be used to make various donations to local charities and groups. In the past, the proceeds from the Fireworks Night have been used to raise funds for Francis House Children's Hospice, Christie's, MacMillian Cancer Support, East Cheshire Hospice and many others.

Personal sparklers and fireworks are not allowed, attendees are requested to keep behind any safety barriers and wear appropiate footwear such as wellies.
