Two men arrested on suspicion of three burglaries

Two men have been arrested in relation to three burglaries – two in Wilmslow and another at a convenience store in Macclesfield.

A residential property on The Circuit in Wilmslow was broken into overnight on Tuesday, 13th September and a vehicle was taken from off the driveway.

The offenders are also suspected of committing another burglary at Bramley Close where police were called at 1.30am, on Tuesday September 13th, to reports of two men being disturbed while attempting to break into the front door of a house.

Then shortly after 3am officers were called to the Co-op store in Westmorland Close, Macclesfield following reports of two men attempting to gain access to the ATM.

When officers arrived at the scene two men, aged 24 and 23, both from Manchester, were detained and arrested on suspicion of burglary. The vehicle stolen from The Circuit was also recovered at the scene.

Sgt. Mark Durkin said "The two arrested males are in police custody and work is ongoing to build the case against these two suspects."
