Electrical fault sparks car fire on Handforth bypass

Firefighters were called to a car fire on the A34 on Monday, 18th July.

One fire engine from Wilmslow attended the incident on the Handforth bypass at 6.13pm.

An electrical fault was the cause of the fire involving a car near Handforth industrial estate.

Firefighters, one wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to bring the fire under control and then continued to cool the car.
