A community initiative company dedicated to reducing social isolation of older and more vulnerable people within the Wilmslow area is offering two weekly events which are free to attend.

Snow Angels, wiith the support of Wilmslow Town Council and the Colshaw Tenants and Residents Association, organise regular coffee afternoons and a carers group.

Both sessions run weekly at the Open Arms Youth Project on Colshaw Farm Estate from 1pm until 3pm and are free for older and more vulnerable people to attend.

Lindsay Martin, Project officer at Snow Angels, said "The reason for the Free event is that we have been approached by our customers that have expressed a lack of activities for older people in the Colshaw area.

"We are happy to be able to organise these events and extremely pleased with the support we have received from local organisations and businesses."

The coffee afternoons for the over 60s are held every Monday and a Carers Group meets on Tuesdays, both from 1pm until 3pm, offering the opportunity to meet new people, have a chat, join in games and activities whilst free refreshments are provided. A police surgery is also held alongside the coffee afternoons.
