New restaurant to revamp outdoor dining area

An Italian restaurant which is opening in the town centre shortly has been granted planning permission for a new external dining area which can be used all year round.

Cibo Restaurant will be located at 26-28 Green Lane, in the premises previously occupied by Swadesh Indian restaurant which closed down in February.

Marco Valbon Sejdiu has been granted permission to remove the existing awnings and replace them with a canopy roof system, part of which would be retractable on warm weather days. This will enable the area to be used throughout the year, as a fully covered, external dining area - similar to the one erected outside Gusto in Alderley Edge last year.

Cibo Restaurant intends to be open from midday until 11pm seven days a week.

Great idea - this site has not seen much success in recent years. The Wilmslow restaurant scene is very competitive.

Good luck! I don't think I will be dining outside this place with it's wonderful view of Tesco's rubbish and buses belching fumes parking just along the road. It is the wrong place for an eating establishment just as the Farrow and Ball shop was. It took several attempts at running a restaurant from there before it became obvious.
