Join charity Yogathon for a day of fun and fitness

Yogis of all age and ability are being called upon to join a a day of fun and fitness this weekend whilst raising money for two cancer charities.

Clare Broomhead is organising the 12 hour yoga marathon on Saturday, 7th May, to raise money for The Christie and The Teenage Cancer Trust.

The first 10 hours, from 8am until 6pm, will take place at Yogalife Studios at Energie in Wilmslow and the final two hours, from 6pm to 8pm, will be held in the Royles showroom on Macclesfield Road.

Clare explained "There will be a mixture of yoga styles ranging from Ashtanga, Yin, Sculpt, Power Yoga and Yoga Euphoria.

"Every entrant will be encouraged to do as much of the Yogathon as they are able and teams can rotate members as much as they like."

Entrance is £25 per person and to make the most of the event teams of four are being encouraged to enter.

Drinks and food will be served at Royles for the during and after Yoga party from 6pm until late.

Andrew Broomhead, Managing Director at Royles, said "There are still places available for people interested in the Yogathon and we look forward to seeing as many people as possible from 6.00pm onwards for food, drinks and fun, all in aid of the charities."

Andrew added "The whole day is all about raising money for the charities while having fun, there will also be raffle and auction prizes, please feel free to get involved in any way you feel appropriate."

Clare is hoping to raise £10,000 for The Christie and Teenage Cancer Trust and so far she has reached almost £3000. Donations can be made via her JustGiving page.
