Trampolinists are flying high after national success

Following their success at the North West finals in December and the North Zonal Finals in January, seventeen students across four teams from Wilmslow High School took part in the UK National Trampolining Finals in Wigan on Saturday, 19th March.

Once again it was a fantastic occasion and the teams' performances surpassed even coach Hilary Pemberton's expectations with every student finishing the day as a National Champion.

In the team competitions there were wins for the under 14 girls novice, under 14 boys novice, under 19 boys novice and under 19 boys elite teams. In the individual competition Brendan Smith finished in 3rd position in the under 19 boys elite category, Gracie Davies was 2nd in the under 14 girls novice competition and an outstanding performance from Elise Bale saw her crowned UK National Champion in the under 19 girls novice category.

Under 14 Novice boys: Finlay Greenwood, Oliver Pipping, Joe Renshaw, Ben Dickinson
Under 14 Novice girls: Gracie Davies, Molly Andrew, Georgie Long, Shauna Greaves
Under 19 Novice boys: Max Southerton, Will Cusworth, Jack Joyce, James Jones
Under 19 Elite Boys: Brendan Smith, Matt Graham, Conor Smith, Jack Colledge

Head coach Hilary Pemberton was extremely proud of the students' hardwork and determination throughout the year and extended her thanks to her team of assistant coaches, parents and PE staff who have helped make this a season to remember.
