Wilmslow Rugby Union Club has applied to create a gym at their King Road premises.
The proposal is to convert four existing squash courts, which have not been used since the end of 2006, into a gym. The scheme includes refurbishment of the outside of the building.
The gym will employ 5 full time and 2 part time members of staff and be open from 8am to 10.30pm seven days a week.
The planning application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 16/1145M. The last date for submitting comments is 6th April and a decision is expected by 5th May.
