Planning permission is being sought to extend an existing farm house and build an additional three detached houses off Adlington Road.

David Wilson Homes have submitted an application for 0.26 hectare site which is located in the South West corner of their approved scheme of 204 dwellings (reference 14/0007M) and within the grounds of Brickyard Farm.

This latest application seeks to build a 2 storey extension to the existing Brick Yard Farm ad build two 4 bed detached homes and one 5 bed detached property.

If approved then Plot 24 of the existing approved development will be omitted to facilitate access to the proposed development.

The planning application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 15/5800M. The last date for submitting comments is 10th February and a decision is expected by 4th March.

Sorry but this needs to be stopped, while the building work has started nothing has been done as promised to improve the access for all these extra cars onto the A34 at Summerfields (the primary access route to the A34 for this development). Over recent months the situation has become a rush hour nightmare. CEC need to prioritise this now rather than allow them to develop even more houses and wait until everyone has moved in and hundreds more cars are trying to get to work.

YES!!!!!!! STOP this stupidity!!! These current houses on Green belt are 4/5 luxury houses. Where are the small first time buyer flats ,mews terraced houses, which are desperately needed n Wilmslow. Why is it the same Developers.can get permission to build to suit themselves, and blow everyone else ,as they take the profits and move on,to devastate another town.Adlington road cannot cope with the current traffic.Perhaps the new leader of Ches East, should look into the Planning applications. It wont be long now that we wont be able to drive out of town ,without long traffic queues.eg Altrincham Road, since the Waters' traffic commenced. Will they use the emergency exit onto the blind bend with a double white line?
CEC planning cared not a jot about us residents, nor our town council or other bodies when Adlington Rd 208 houses was passed. 450+ objections from memory.
Like plans passed later for more houses on Adlington Rd site, the planning dept might say it's not a material change, so through it goes without discussion.
I guess Wilson Homes woudn't have got this far without a high degree of confidence that it will be passed.
Just seen one of theirs advertised for sale at £1.25million. So much for affordable housing.......
Is this what our Big Society has come to? Remind me to send a fiver to Jeremy.

This is a disgrace from start to present. Now more insult to injury and…s.d the residents and objections. This is a luxury home development, pure and simple with no attempt to disguise the fact - so much for planning rules and consent.
Whilst it might be a bit late in the day I urge everyone to remember this fiasco when they next vote, we need strong representation on behalf of residents (and this means Ratepayer groups) at CE county level and get those with vested interest out on their ears where they belong
…..and I don't live anywhere near Adlington Road!

I very much doubt a few additional homes to this site will have much impact on a site now already developed. CEC perhaps you could fast track this application?

Having very recently campaigned against (and defeated) an unwanted proposal to build houses directly behind his own house http://bit.ly/1Qoep4p I'm confident that CEC Cllr Gary Barton will throw himself against this this further attack on the remaining Adlington Road fields with equal gusto.
Well done Gary, keep up the good work.
