Rotary Toy Appeal gets all wrapped up for Christmas

Rota-Toy 5

The Rotary Club of Wilmslow Dean has once again been providing hundreds of local children with presents this Christmas through their 'Rota-Toy' appeal and special deliveries have taken place during the past two weeks to ensure nobody is missed out.
This is the third year the club has operated the 'Rota-Toy' scheme which aims to provide local children from 0-16 years old with a box full of donated pre loved and new toys and creative materials.

The brightly coloured boxes are delivered to various schools and nurseries in the area and once filled, they are collected and distributed by Rotary Club members to local charities such as Hampers for Hope and The Oakenclough Children's Centre, plus other worthy causes.

Geoff Shelmerdine, Corporate Ambassador at the Rotary Club commented "This is a fantastic project to be part of, it helps so many children in the local area, which is key to our ethos as a charity. Last year we delivered over 600 filled boxes locally and this year the need is even greater. We want to say a huge thank you for the generous donations of 'pre-loved' and new toys we receive which has allowed us to continue our 'Rota-Toy' project and once again help children in time for Christmas and throughout the year."
