Tree-mendous festival opens at Methodist Church

Wilmslow Methodist Church is beautifully decorated with its host of angels, trees, floral arrangements and craft items depicting a wide range of carols and festive songs provided by local schools, businesses, groups and societies.
The Wilmslow Christmas Tree Festival opens this afternoon and will continue through to Sunday evening, culminating in carol singing at 7.30pm.

Gwyneth Holt said "With a nativity trail for youngsters, and opportunities for quiet reflection dotted around the church there is something for everyone to truly get into the spirit of Christmas."

During the weekend refreshments will be served in the Cafe Nowell.

Entrance is free but donations in support of Action for Children's project at Styal Prison's Mother and Baby Unit will be gratefully received.

The Wilmslow Christmas Tree Festival is open from 2pm to 6pm today, 10am to 6pm on Saturday and 2pm to 5pm on Sunday with 'Come and Sing Carols' at 7.30pm.
