Jewellery stolen from Kingsbury Drive

A burglary occurred on Kingsbury Drive in the late evening of Saturday, 24th October.

It is not known how the offenders entered the property, but they then proceeded to search through drawers and steal some jewellery.

Police are advising local residents to be aware that now it is getting dark earlier houses which are unlit are easier targets for burglars.

PCSO Emma Durrock said "Whilst on patrol I see a large number of addresses that are dark all evening, so please stand and look at your property and think where are the weak points and how could I make my property more secure.

"This could be something as simple as moving the bins away from the fence so that they cannot be climbed on or cutting down large bushes at the front of the property so that your address is overlooked by other residents. Simple ideas can make the biggest difference."

If you see anything suspicious report it to Wilmslow Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
