New play group a messy affair

New children's classes which encourage little ones to be as messy as they like are coming to Wilmslow.

Messy play sessions allow children to explore their senses by experiencing different textures and smells and provide the opportunity for them to pour, mix, squeeze and squelch materials.

Mess Around Ltd started three years ago and provides a range of sensory play experiences for children aged 6 months to 5 years old.

It now has active branches across the UK enabling children to have great fun getting messy, with the advantage of leaving the cleaning up to someone else.

Local parents Michelle and Michael Handby are launching Mess Around in Wilmslow next month after having their daughter Esme earlier this year.

Michelle said "We wanted to take our daughter to a messy play event nearby but there were not any nearby. We then knew we had to bring it to Wilmslow so local children can benefit from it! We are really excited about becoming branch leaders of Mess Around Ltd and love the fact that we rotate into different areas of the region, driven by demand from parents, so everyone gets a chance to attend."

The first Wilmslow event will take place on Sunday 29th November at 10.30am at Morley Green Club. Tickets, costing £6.50 for the first child and £3.50 for siblings can be purchased from the Messy Around website.
