Police closed Styal Road, just prior to the junction with Ringway Road, this morning after a bag of animal remains was found and mistaken for human body parts.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police were called to Styal Road in Heald Green shortly before 8:35am on Friday, 21st August, following reports that human remains had been found.

The road was closed whilst an investigation was carried out, after which police confirmed that the bag contained animal meat and bones.

Not sure why after all that the police left and the bag is still there. Surely it could have been removed.
