Woman released from overturned car following crash on Knutsford Road

A woman has been released from her car following a collision on Knutsford Road this morning.

Firefighters were called to the accident at 11.12am today (Thursday 20th August) where they discovered a woman was trapped in her Mini.

They released the woman from the vehicle, which had overturned, and made the area safe.

Police and paramedics also attended.

I'm glad that there was a good outcome but was it really necessary to have the Air Ambulance called out to this accident, about 3/4 mile from the Wilmslow ambulance station, along "A" roads? In the event there was no place for the helicopter to land and it was "stood down".

Why were there no police detailed to advise drivers of alternative access to Brook Lane/ Alderley Road?
